I’ve been on a bit of a lemon kick lately. Today I finally got to use my ice cream maker that I got for Christmas. It’s amazing and so easy.
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons finely grated lemon zest
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup buttermild
- 1 3/4 cups whipping cream
Whisk lemon juice, zest and sugar together until sugar is dissolves. Stir in the buttermilk and whipping cream. Pour into ice cream maker and churn for 20-30 minutes. Then scrape ice cream into a non-reactive container and freeze until firm, at least two hours.
